HP Ladies Knock Out Mt. Zion 18-6

The ever so hot Harvest Point Ladies put on the gloves and duke it out with Mt. Zion
for four innings, keeping it just close enough to give their opponent some flavor on the tip of their tongue.

Well, it was really like an Ali and Foreman show down with both boxers trading punches and Ali giving some roper doper to Foreman. Just measure up here lets see your best shot. Mt. Zion gave it their best shot throwing some good punches mid round. The game now Harvest Point 10 to Mt.Zions 6. When both teams came out of their corners for another round Harvest Point just floated like a butterfly and stung like a bee knocking out their third opponent in a row. Coach said "we let Mt.Zion hang around a little to long, it was time to take it to them and the ladies delivered." The HP ladies are now 3 and 1 for the season.

The ladies will be playing the two toughest games of the season against Lighthouse and Stockbridge First Baptist next on the schedule. We will need our fans to really come out for these games, its going to be showdown of the best teams in the league.

Not one to look ahead coach stated "to win the next two games will give us the best chance ever to take that trophy this year." OK then win the remainder of the games and finish in first. It can happen!

Repeat! HP Wins 23-22

Can you say repeat!

On this 2nd day in May with the evening air just a tad cool, everything appeared to be normal. I mean Harvest Point Mens team played host to Glen Haven Baptist and kept the door closed on them in the first at bats, then kept the score keeper busy when HP scored 5 runs straight out of the gate. Well thats it folks, throw normal out and put HP scrambling to just get one out! The second and third innings were the special, really special. " We just gave them a boat load of runs there and really could not explain how", stated coach Tom, "it's like trying to plug a leak in Hoover Damn with a straw, we just could not get it done".

But somehow HP kept Glen Haven in sight, and never really gave up. "We've seen it before and we believe in ourself so you keep swinging the hammer till you drive that last nail in the wood" Tom said, man he was right. With two outs and men on base and last inning of play, down by 5 runs those old rugged bats came alive and the last blow from a Billy Mote swing hammered home one of the best come from behind wins you may ever witness. Once again HP on top by a score of 23 to 22. You need not say anything else, what a game and what a finish. The fun and excitement is what it is all about, you just have to see to really enjoy it. And once again the admission is free!
